Yesterday, I was humbled to be recognized by the Southern California Leadership Network with the NextLA Leader of the Year Award. Congratulations to fellow honorees Angelica Salas, Dr. Margie Wheeler, and Gary & Janice Toebben. To whom much is given much is required. I accepted this recognition as a challenge to do more, to be bolder and more courageous, and to be a better servant leader in the fight to build the beloved community that Dr. King envisioned.
